TO ALL NEW AND RETURNING OFFICIALS

The clinic dates are September 25/26 for Stony Plain and October 30/31 for Spruce Grove.  All clinics are only available for signup online.  If you are a returning official, you should get an email in the next couple of days with your Hockey Alberta ID number.  If you are new to officiating or you do not receive an email, contact either myself for Stony Plain residents or SGMHA@shaw.ca for Spruce Grove residents to get your ID number.  Once you have your number, go to Northzone.ab.ca and follow the instructions to create an elearning account.  Instructions for completing the online modules and clinic registration are on the Northzone website.

CLINIC REGISTRATION AND ELEARNING WILL BE AVAILABLE AUGUST 30.  IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO OFFICIATE THIS YEAR, MAKE SURE YOU GET REGISTERED!!

You will have to complete the elearning modules and bring your certificate to the clinic.  No certificate = no admittance to the clinic.

IF YOU ARE NOT RETURNING TO OFFICIATING THIS YEAR PLEASE LET ME KNOW SO I CAN REMOVE YOU FROM THE ROSTER.

If you are returning, please ensure your information is up to date on the RAMP website.

More information for the clinics will be sent out to all registrants about a week before the clinic.

Need a Referee? Please contact Glenna Wagner. Remember to allow at least 96 hours notice to request referees and 48 hours to cancel. You will not be notified if you have referees booked for your game, but will be notified if we can not find you referees.

EXHIBITION GAMES:   TEAMS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING THE OFFICIALS PRIOR TO THE COMMENCEMENT OF THE GAME.  WHEN YOUR OFFICIALS ARE ASSIGNED YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED WHAT THE COST IS.  SPMHA DOES NOT PAY FOR EXHIBITION GAMES.

League Rules

Note for officials who also work in Spruce Grove: Spruce Grove minor hockey mandates that all their players (Novice and up) wear mouthguards. This rule is not enforced by the officials, it is enforced by the coaches. In leagues where mouthguards are mandatory, the officials shall enforce those league rules on both teams.
